Dr Jacob Dessauer MBBS
Dr. Dessauer graduated from Melbourne University in 1982 and started working at Fountain Gate Medical Centre in 1987. He has interests in child & adolescent health, doctors’ health and medical education. He has been an accredited supervisor of GP trainees since 1996.

Dr Melissa Wong MBBS (Hons) FRACGP
Dr. Wong graduated from Monash University in 2013 and undertook her internship and further training at Monash Health, spending several years working in the Emergency Department. She is passionate about women’s heath and GP trainee education, working as the Head of Content at GP Academy (a GP education provider for GP trainees) on her days off.

Dr Michael Long MBBS
Dr. Long graduated from Melbourne University in 1984 and has been a doctor with the Southern Cross Medical Group since 1989. He has undertaken further training in travel medicine and adds this to his broad range of interests in general practice.
Dr. Long has been providing travel medicine services and advice to patients since 2005 and is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine and the Travel Medicine Alliance of Australia which enables him to provide additional travel-related services including all the latest information on infectious diseases worldwide and we stock travel related products at the Clinic for the convenience of all travellers.

Dr Karen Head MBBS (Hons), FRACGP
Dr. Head graduated from Monash University and obtained her fellowship in General Practice in 2007 and has been working at Fountain Gate Medical Centre since 2006 as a registrar.
Dr. Head enjoys all aspects of General Practice, particularly women’s health and mental health.

Dr David Ng MBBS (Hons)
David graduated from Monash University in 2016 and has a breadth of hospital experience, completing rotations in aged care, paediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology. He enjoys treating patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Outside of work he enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and camping, and is also involved in his local church.

Dr Serena Menezes MBBS (Hons)
Serena completed her medical degree at Monash University in 2017. Since graduating, she has worked across various hospitals including Monash Health, Austin Health, Northern Health and also regionally at Bendigo Health, gaining experience in a range of specialties including medicine, paediatrics, geriatrics and emergency.
Whilst Serena enjoys all aspects of medicine, she has a particular interest in paediatrics, chronic disease management and preventative health.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys cooking, tending to her veggie patch and long walks with her dog.

OUR ALLIED HEALTH
Mrs Ana Paula Schaper BA(Hons), BSW, GradDipArts (Family Therapy), MSocPol, MAASW
Ana Paula is an accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 25 years’ of experience working in a wide range of clinical settings including adult and aged mental health services, schools, child, youth and family health and disability services.
Ana Paula has specialist training in family therapy and mental health. She takes referrals for depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, suicidal ideation, psychotic illness, life crises, relationship and family issues, trauma, grief and loss. Ana Paula works to help individuals resolve their presenting mental health issues and reduce the impact these have on their quality of life and their relationships.

OUR NURSES
Nicole, Jess and Angela are our dedicated practice nurses at Fountain Gate Medical Centre, they have extensive family practice nursing experience. Our nurses work alongside our doctors to provide wound care, immunisations, iron infusions, implanon insertions and health assessments.
